Regional or European maps with
instructions in 16 languages
The C510E has the map of one region
and the Major Roads of Europe pre-installed on the internal flash
memory. The package also contains maps of 24 European countries
on DVD. The Mio C510, another version of this device, comes without
the additional DVD.
If you're travelling within the
region you bought the C510 or C510E, you have a full coverage
of that region. The moment you leave that region, the map data
will be limited to the major highways and main streets of cities.
You can still use the MRE-map to travel from Oslo to Milano, from
your home to anywhere in the 24 European countries listed below.
Adding full coverage and door-to-door
navigation for more regions is possible on the C510E. Install
the region(s) of your choice on an SD card and insert it into
your device. Depending on the memory capacity of the SD card you
use, you can add one or more region(s).
The 24 countries are: Andorra,
Austria, Belgium, Czech Republic, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany,
Gibraltar, Great Britain, Italy, Ireland, Lichtenstein, Luxemburg,
Monaco, Norway, the Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, San-Marino,
Spain, Sweden, Switzerland and Vatican City.
You can choose between 16 different
languages: Czech, Danish, Dutch, UK English, US English, Finnish,
Flemish, French, German, Italian, Norwegian, Polish, Portuguese,
Spanish, Swedish, Turkish are all available - and you can even
choose the voice you prefer for audio directions.

Safety Camera Warnings
For your safety, the C710 also
tells you the likely locations of fixed safety cameras (speed
cameras) and the likely locations of mobile traps, with free updates
for a full year from the time you register. You can choose between
visual and/or audio signal to warn you.
You can download new safety camera
locations from the moment you register on our website. Once you've
registered, you will download updates from the Mio Technology
database for free for one year.
You can also indicate new safety
camera locations on your device, and upload them to the database.
You can even determine the direction of the safety camera.

Hands-free calling with Bluetooth
Use the C510E for hands-free calling
when combined with a Bluetooth enabled mobile phone.
Together with a Bluetooth™
mobile phone*, the C510E allows you to keep your hands
safely on the wheel whenever you’re on the phone. It automatically
switches from navigation to phone mode every time you receive
a call.

Avoid Traffic Jams with TMC
With a Traffic Message Channel
(TMC) antenna (sold separately), the C510E is able to receive
information about delays on your route - and take you around them.
Connect a TMC antenna (sold separately),
and the C510E receives the latest information on everything from
road works to accidents and traffic jams. In the event of any
hold up ahead, you can choose to continue or to go around them,
in which case the C510E will recalculate your route.
TMC is available as a free service
throughout Europe, although charges apply in the UK and in some
parts of France. Check our e-shop for availability in France and

Get going quickly with SiRFstar
III and new fast processor
The latest SiRFstarIII GPS receiver
picks up satellite signals faster and holds them better, and the
400Mhz processor helps you calculate your route more quickly -
which means you can get on the road quicker.
The highly sensitive SiRFstarIII
GPS chipset can receive signals from up to 20 satellites for extremely
accurate positioning, even in the centre of a city or the middle
of the countryside. The C510E makes sure you’ll find your way.

Simple, intuitive navigation
A crystal clear 3.5"
touch screen and a range of user-friendly features make the
C510 simple to use as well as easy to follow.
The C510 is designed to be as
user-friendly as possible. Large buttons and clever predictive
keyboard make it easy to enter a destination, whether by name
or postcode (including full postcode in UK*). Frequently used
addresses can be stored in your own POI categories so you don't
have to type them in every time, whilst you can also designate
a shortcut button for example your home and work address. Just
push the button and find the way home.
As for the display, all the journey
information you need is easy to see. Estimated time of arrival,
distance battery and satellite status can all be viewed. You
can also keep an eye on the speed you’re travelling at and,
just in case you need reminding, speed limits are also shown
when available.

Make calls and navigate directly
to Outlook contacts
The C510 not only synchronises
with Outlook Contacts on your desktop computer, it takes you straight
to them.
With the C510, you never have to
leave the office without your OutlookT Contacts. But what makes
life really easy is the ability to call or navigate directly to
a contact. Just select the name and you'll be able to call them
or navigate directly to their home or office. If you have their
full address, including the official name of the street saved
in Outlook, of course.

Choose the way you want to travel
You can use the C510 outside
the car as well as inside it.
Thanks to the pedestrian mode,
you can use the C510 to explore Europe on foot. It navigates
as smoothly in the historical downtown of Barcelona as on the
highway traversing France.
The C510 takes account of the
way you want to travel on the road as well. Choose the type
of vehicle you're using, the type of route you prefer, even
the type of road.
After all, if you want to walk
you'll probably want to take a different route to when you go
by car or cycle. Whether you want to avoid toll roads, go by
the quickest way possible or take the shortest route, the C510
shows you which way to go.

If you're not using your C510
for navigating, you can use it to listen to your favourite music
or to have a look through your latest photos.
The C510 is a navigation device,
but it also offers a lot more than that. The SD/MMC memory card
slot expansion slot means you can play all your stored music
and look at your favourite snaps - or show them to other people.
It's all wrapped in an impossibly
