The TomTom Go 715 is designed specifically for business users such as van drivers, couriers, taxi drivers or just general business use where keeping in touch with employees on the road is important. As such it naturally includes Bluetooth for hands free calling. This is becoming a standard feature of any good sat nav system since the new law regaring using mobile phones has come into effect.
Another innovative feature is the built in GPRS modem and a SIM card slot for GPRS data . The SIM card means that the GO 715 can connect directly to the internet and TomTom servers via GPRS and this also includes support for TomTom Work and TomTom WEBFLEET allowing remote workers to receive orders and information about what they have to do and where they need to go which makes the TomTom Go 715 perfect for business workers.
The SIM card slot on the TomTom Go 715 will allow users to make calls and send text messages for the TomTom Go 715 itself. This is mainly designed for businesses with new software that allows the TomTom 715 user to receive and manage orders and to communicate with his office about the status of the orders.
What can I do with the TomTom Go 715?
Aside from the normal navigation mode your TomTom Go will help your work and keep you in contact with your office.
For example, your office can send you order, including information on the location that you have to go to and what you have to do there.
You will then be presented with several options:
- Select and read orders
- Accept or decline an order
- Navigate to an order destination
- Report to the office on the status of an order
- Send text messages and order status messages to the office
- Sign in and sign out of work breaks

How does the GPRS work and what is it for?
The TomTom Go 715 uses GPRS so that you can communicate with your office for sending order instructions and text messages. You can insert any GPRS enabled SIM card into the TomTom Go 715. Removing the SIM card from the TomTom Go 715 may result in a loss of data so we recommend that you have a dedicated SIM card for the TomTom and do not remove it.
If you are in an area where there is no GPRS coverage then any messages sent by you or to you are stored and will be sent once the GPRS connection is available.
