The Globalsat TR102 is a "PAY AS YOU GO" Personal GPS Navigator Device, and offers accurate position tracking capabilities for personal use for you and your family (Including Telecare and Telemonitoring for Vulnerable and elderly citizens) or used in a business field for example fleet tracking, for mobile location tracking. The TR102 is also ideal for Telecare and Telemonitoring Services when used for the care of vulnerable people and lone worker safety. The TR102 works straight out of the box, and is preloaded with £5 credit to get you started, simply top up your tr102 personal tracker as you would any pay as you go mobile. The TR102 remote tracking device is compact and portable at just 11.5 cm x 4.5cm making it easy to slip into your pocket, backpack or hand bag.
Using a compatible phone running the Symbian Operating System it is also possible to track the Globalsat TR-102 personal tracker on your mobile using ViewRanger software. These can be purchased as a full map of Great Britain or maps of the 16 National Parks. Its also possible to buy additional maps from ViewRanger.

GPS Tracking out of the Box:
An account will be created for you on GPSGate.com ( GPS Tracking Software) and we will configure your Globalsat TR102 so that the device can be tracked the minute you take it out of the box.
TR102 Support:
A One Year support service is also included, so if you would like to change some settings to use a different sim card or even changes to your account, we can help. With daily use of this device, it will roughly cost £5 a month of normal use, but charges will vary if the ping data settings are changed. The tracking of the device is as secure as shopping and mailing sites featuring a SSL structure which will keep all your data encrypted so no one else can see. The only people able to see the tracking of the device is the registered user giving the system a higher level of security.

If you are a customer who is looking for a more professional tracking system, we can help by upgrading your account to the advanced system which has features which will help you much more.
How the TR102 works:
Geofencing can be set up with your account so when a device gets into a particular area, you can have the device message back to the server which will then let you know that the device is in the area. What can I do with the TR102 tracking device?, Where and How can I use it?
Use the TR102 to Track Yourself:
You can show your friends exactly where you are at all times. Share your holiday with those at home, where you have been and what you did or perhaps its your sailing week and you can let the rest of the boathouse track your sailing route - a hiking trip or perhaps the fantastic powder snow and the slopes you have just been skiing on that morning. You could even start collecting your life track, e.g. memorable vacations abroad, visiting distant relatives or one off experiences you simply want to replay again and again for future enjoyment and use! The options are limitless just go explore, record and share.
Track Your friends:
Your friends can share their position with you, either online, via SMS tracking or using one of the preset numbers to give them a call. You can create groups with your friends online, so you can find out exactly where they are with real time tracking for safe and easy meeting each other, or even for parents to drop off or collect their kids.
Car Tracking and Monitoring:
You can see where your car is and where it has been with the TR102. Simply chuck it into the glove box and watch your cars movements online or download the track after it has returned, the choice is yours.
Children & Elderly Safety with the TR102:
You can easily follow your children or others in need of attention with a TR102 tucked into their pockets. For piece of mind you can keep a safe eye on them at all times giving you an additional level of security and reassurance that they are where they say they are, and if needed be, you can either call them, or they can call you and 2 other preset phone numbers. With vulnerable citizens requiring increasing help and Telemonitoring (Telecare) The TR102 fulfills that job with ease.
TR102 Mac compatible?:
Yes - Only the set-up software is not Mac compatible and compatibility is only required for initial configuration, however with the free subscription option the TR-102 is delivered fully configured, and access to the mapping service is through a standard Internet browser from any type of computer including Macs.
Track online and on your mobile phone:
Your GlobalSat TR102 Personal tracker is already linked to your GPSGate account. This means that you can start tracking out of the box and because this is a web based service you can log in on any PC.
If you are unable to access a PC you can also track the TR102 using a Symbian based handset with ViewRanger software. This software, when used with phones running the Symbian OS, can also be used in conjunction with both our Globalsat TR102 personal tracker and Globalsat TR151 vehicle tracker. By adding the Globalsat TR102 to your ViewRanger buddy list you can locate and watch in real time. This can come in handy if you need to keep an eye on the where abouts of staff, children or the elderly etc. It has also been used with the Duke of Edinburgh Award initiatives.
You can also use Viewranger to communicate via SMS with the Globalsat personal and vehicle trackers and control the frequency and type of reports it sends. ViewRanger will let you know via a custom message if your tracker has a low battery or the SOS button has been pressed, showing the position that this was pressed on a map. This will raise an alarm flag which it will continue to report until you clear the alarm.
As ViewRanger uses both street maps and Topographical maps this allows you to find the position of the tracker on detailed maps. This can be used as a way to locate you when out walking.
