Using a compatible phone running the Symbian Operating System it is also possible to track the Globalsat TR-151 Vehicle tracker on your mobile using ViewRanger software. What is ViewRanger software?

GPS Tracking out of the Box:
An account will be created for you on GPSGate.com ( GPS Tracking Software) and we will configure your Globalsat TR151 so that the device can be tracked the minute you take it out of the box. TR151 GPS Vehicle Tracker allows you to track your assets via GPS / GSM, and GPRS whether that be tracking your fleet of vehicles, tracking your van or car or perhaps being able to track a valuable piece of equipment if its moved or stolen. Live vehicle tracking with the TR151 is made simple by installing the TR151 on any vehicle or asset for online tracking.

TR151 Support:
A One Year support service is also included, so if you would like to change some settings to use a different sim card or even changes to your account, we can help. With daily use of this device, it will roughly cost £10 a month of normal use, but charges will vary if the ping data settings are changed. The tracking of the device is as secure as shopping and mailing sites featuring a SSL structure which will keep all your data encrypted so no one else can see. The only people able to see the tracking of the device is the registered user giving the system a higher level of security.

How the TR151 works:

What can I do with the TR151 tracking device?, Where and How can I use it?

Use the TR151 to Track Yourself:
What if you just purchased a new car or caravan, you'll have the alarm system set but you want a bit more piece of mind. The TR151 features motion sensors so if the device register that there is some movement, you will be notified by text. This just keeps your valued poccessions that bit more safer. Featuring a battery with the capacity of 2100 mAh, the device will last you for days without a charging once. Have the route dispayed on a high quality Google Maps program allowing you to view the maps in different formats, which ever you prefer.

Car Tracking and Voice Monitoring:
You can see where your car is and where it has been with the TR151. Simply chuck it into the glove box and watch your cars movements online or download the track after it has returned, the choice is yours. You will also receive a magnetic bracket to slip on the device to track something secretly. The TR-151 also features a small microphone which you can listen into by just sending a SMS text. The Globalsat TR151 can be used in many different vehicles like cars, caravans, vans, boats, trucks etc. With the TR151 you can track the vehicle online (Live tracking) and see if it gets to its destination on time and safely.

TR151 Mac compatible?:
Yes - Only the set-up software is not Mac compatible and compatibility is only required for initial configuration, however with the free subscription option the TR-151 is delivered fully configured, and access to the mapping service is through a standard Internet browser from any type of computer including Macs.

Track online and on your mobile phone:

Your GlobalSat TR151 Vehicle tracker is already linked to your GPSGate account. This means that you can start tracking out of the box and because this is a web based service you can log in on any PC.

If you are unable to access a PC you can also track the TR151 using a Symbian based handset with ViewRanger software. This software, when used with phones running the Symbian OS, can also be used in conjunction with both our Globalsat TR102 personal tracker and Globalsat TR151 vehicle tracker. By adding the Globalsat TR151 to your ViewRanger buddy list you can locate, watch in real time, and even set up geo fences. A geo fence allows you to monitor a predetermined area based on GPS coordinates. If a tracker moves outside this zone you will be alerted. This can come in handy if you need to keep an eye on the where abouts of staff, children or the elderly etc. It has also been used with the Duke of Edinburgh Award initiatives.

You can also use Viewranger to communicate via SMS with the Globalsat personal and vehicle trackers and control the frequency and type of reports it sends. ViewRanger will let you know via a custom message if your tracker has a low battery, if the Geo Fence has been breached or the SOS button has been pressed, showing the position that this was pressed on a map. This will raise an alarm flag which it will continue to report until you clear the alarm.

As ViewRanger uses both street maps and Topographical maps this allows you to find the position of the tracker on detailed maps. This can be used as a way to locate you when out walking.

Using the TR151 you can create groups with your friends Live Tracking of Lone Workers, Asset Tracking and more. With the TR151 you can look at your track history.
