GlobeTrotter HSDPA "7.2 Ready" is the latest generation of Option's very successful GlobeTrotter range. It brings phenomenal mobile broadband wireless capability to laptops and notebooks by combining multi-band HSDPA 7.2, UMTS, EDGE and GPRS technologies in a single PC Card package.
The GlobeTrotter HSDPA "7.2 Ready" includes Advanced Receiver Technology (ART) offering the benefit of Receive Diversity and Receive Equalization. Both are essential for maximizing the benefits of HSDPA 7.2.
The Wireless modem is Sim Free and Unlocked. Sim Free means that the device will be supplied to you as it is, no sim card is included. Unlocked means that the device can be used with any mobile phone network e.g. Orange, O2, Vodafone, T-Mobile etc.

Initially supplied with HSDPA 3.6, the GlobeTrotter HSDPA "7.2 Ready" is field upgradeable when the network is configured for HSDPA 7.2. Backward compatibility ensures HSDPA connections at lower data rates of 3.6 Mbps and 1.8 Mbps.
The wireless data card has inherent support for 3G operation at 384 Kbps in conjunction with quad-band EDGE and GPRS. GlobeTrotter HSDPA "7.2 Ready" has a truly unique 'Plug 'n Play' solution with Option's Zero-CDTM patented technology. This means that it is no longer a necessity for the user to pre-install drivers, or a software application, in order to use the data card.
