Customers owning BT-338 GPS receivers with
serial numbers between 400 ~ 28,000 are eligible for this firmware upgrade.
The charge for upgrade programming will be £9.99 + S/H.
Your BT338 must be returned to the UK Service
Center for the upgrade re-programming, a function that requires special
equipment and therefore cannot be performed by the end-user. Attempting
to do this upgrade yourself may result in damage to your receiver and
invalidate your warranty.
This upgrade is NOT required if your BT338
is performing with satisfactory results within your applications. Some
applications have displayed incompatibilities.
THIS FIRMWARE UPGRADE WILL NOT:
Change the current function of the “Auto
Shut-Off” to activate after 10 min if no Bluetooth connection is
present to conserve battery life. This feature is NOT correctable with
any firmware upgrades, it is a hardware design with plans to modify the
function as a running change on production units by the end of the year.
HOW DO I GET THE UPGRADE TO 3.1.1?
1. Your upgrade carries a small fee (£9.99)
plus the cost of return shipping and handling.
2. Click on the “BUY” Button
to purchase your return shipping for the firmware upgrade. You will be
required to complete all information as a normal purchase. (Your information
is never sold or distributed and you automatically become eligible for
notifications of other important product releases.)
3. After you have concluded your purchase,
print 2-copies of your receipt and include one copy inside your returning
box.
4. You MUST write your ORDER NUMBER on
your shipping label (as shown in the sample below). Shipments received
without an order number will be refused. Your order number can be found
on your shopping cart receipt.
5. Package your BT338 appropriately, as
EasyDevices will not be responsible for units damaged in transit. The
battery MUST be sent in with your GPS. You must also ship using a method
that allows you to track your shipment to confirm it has reached us. Untraceable
packages without proof of delivery are not the responsibility of EasyDevices.
