Alturion™ GPS Professional 6.0 is a professional GPS navigation
solution for PDA and laptop with actual traffic information. Enter
your destination and Alturion™ GPS guides your with visual and
audio instructions to your destination. Use multiple waypoints to
plan your routes in detail. Receive traffic information with a GPS/RDS
receiver or by GPRS. Alturion™ GPS informs and warns you about
the traffic situation and recalculates the route if a traffic event
occurs on your route.

Weather Information
Planning a trip but unsure about the weather conditions? Alturion™
GPS visualizes the weather conditions throughout Europe on your screen and
even offers you a day-by-day forecast. If you use a mobile internet connection
(GSM/GPRS) on your PDA, you can even get updated information on line while
driving.

Tracking of vehicles
With Alturion™ GPS Professional you can track the position of the vehicles
of other Alturion users. Of course, these people must first give you their
authorization to this effect. This is the ideal option for any organization
having different vehicles on the road and wishing to keep a view on the

Add and Edit Places of Interest
(Poi’s)
Do you want to add a new POI or update existing information? It is quite
possible with Alturion™ GPS. You can even add supplementary information
on a certain Poi. You can give your opinion on a restaurant where you had
dinner recently, for example.

Voice Instructions
Alturion GPS consists of a guidance in a clear and natural voice. Languages
as French (Belgian and French), Flemish, Dutch, English (American and British),
German, Spanish, Italian, Portuguese, Swedish, Finnish, Danish, Norwegian,
Greek and Czech are henceforth available.

Blocking of Roads
If a road is obstructed in reasons of unforeseen road works or any other
event, you can block this road. This information will be taken into account
while calculating an itinerary. You can define these blockings for different
types of vehicles: e.g. cars, motorcycles or trucks and block e.g. a motorway,
a bridge with limited height or a ferry boat.

Map coverage and Memory Requirements
Please make sure you purchase sufficient memory cards to hold the maps you
require.
It is recommended not to install maps over 200MB as your Pocket PC will
struggle to load such large files, so with the larger countries, ie. France
you should split the map (this is easily done in your Map Installer application)
to make loading the maps quicker and easier.
